At the heart of the city of Groningen is emerging a huge project. For four years now, hundreds of people are working to renovate the East Side of the Grote Markt.
Supported by the Dutch Government, the "vernieuwt" project is not only focused on the city of Groningen, but on the whole region.

To the question "Who is the father of the Dutch?" we may respond William the First. But, last Saturday, it appears that the correct answer could be Sinterklaas.

Since one week already, Sinterklaas and his helpers the Zwarte Pieten are arriving by boats in every city of the Netherlands. If this all "not Christmas" tradition does not sound familiar to any of the International students; it is definitely a thing for the Dutch people.
